Summary

SplitWells is designed with privacy in mind. You can practice without signing in, and local progress stays in your browser unless you choose to sign in and use cloud backup or purchase lifetime access.

Data We Collect

If you sign in, Supabase stores your account identifier, email address, OAuth provider profile details such as name/avatar when provided, billing entitlement, and any cloud backup snapshot you explicitly save from the Account page.

If you purchase lifetime access, Stripe processes the payment and sends SplitWells the payment status needed to activate your entitlement. SplitWells does not store card numbers. SplitWells stores Stripe webhook event records, including the event payload Stripe sends to the app, so it can activate purchases, handle refunds or disputes, and reconcile billing support issues.

Local Storage

SplitWells uses your browser's localStorage to save your preferences and progress. This includes:

• Practice session history and analytics
• Custom presets you create
• Achievement progress and unlocks
• Profile settings (username, avatar, title)
• Energy system state
• Sound and display preferences

This local data only leaves your browser when you sign in and choose to save a cloud backup.

Third-Party Services

SplitWells uses Supabase for authentication, database storage, and cloud backup; Stripe for payment processing; and Cloudflare for hosting. We don't use third-party advertising or behavioral analytics services.

Social Sharing

If you choose to share SplitWells on Twitter/X or Reddit (for the regeneration boost), you'll be redirected to those platforms. At that point, their privacy policies apply. We don't receive any data back from these platforms about whether or how you shared.

Cookies

Authentication may use browser storage/cookies to keep you signed in. You can clear this by signing out or clearing browser data for the site.
